Inkreations Blog Hop – the new Occasions catalogue

INKreations Blog Hop-007

Happy New Year and welcome to the first Inkreations blog hop for 2016.  I hope you all had a wonderful festive season and spent some quality time with family and friends.  Hopefully you got a chance to recharge your batteries ready for a new year – and sneak in some crafting as well.

Today we are featuring some of our favourites from the new Occasions catalogue.  I say “some” because there are so many fantastic products its impossible to pick just one I like best.

For those of you arriving from LoveLifeLauren  how gorgeous were those cards.  I sooooo love stamp sets with coordinating punches.

So what did I choose – well I settled in the end for the Love Blossoms suite.  I figured with Valentines day almost upon us it would be the perfect opportunity to create for that special someone.

I love how easily the stamp set coordinates with the patterned paper but that’s not surprising it’s one of the things I love most about Stampin’ Up! products; matchy matchy!

So first up is the card featuring the main sentiment from the set.

Now I don;t mind fussy cutting but for those of you who hate it the Bloomin’ Heart thinlit die makes cutting those small flowers ever so easy.

The blushing bride ribbon is from the Love Blossoms embellishment kit and finishes off that empty space at the base of the card perfectly.

Next up is little box just big enough for a few chocolates – if you’re anything like me you made the annual resolution to eat less chocolate this year so this will work for you.

These self closing boxes are really popular right now, you’ll find them all over Pinterest.  A quick google search will bring up heaps of instructions so I won’t bore you with the details here.  The cute little hear under the “it’s in the air” banner features the gorgeous new blushing bride glimmer paper.  This is sure to be a favourite and should go straight on your wish list.

Thats’s it from me today.  I hope you’ve found a little inspiration in these projects but don’t stop here head on over to Inkreations – I know the lovely Liv Ingle has some great projects for you.

Inkreators Blog Hop – Gift Packaging

Inkreators blog hop header Nov2015

Welcome to another installment of the Inkreators Blog Hop.  This month we are featuring Gift Packaging, just in time for all those Christmas presents.  I especially love to create something special for those little gifts which without the extra fluffing might appear ordinary.

You may have already hopped from the super talented Lauren Matthews at Love Life Lauren who no doubt had something extra special to share with you today.  If you’ve started here then welcome I hope you enjoy the projects I have for you today and are inspired to add that little bit extra when gift giving on those special occasions.  Don’t forget to hop all the way around just click on the button at the bottom of this post.

I decided to go with a 3 piece ensemble with a ‘Kraft’ feel and using the lovely vintage Home for Christmas designer series paper.

Nov 15 Blog Hop 1

I love the Petite Cafe bags they work perfectly for sweet treats  – both of the chocolate and the cookie variety.  They are the ideal blank slate to be dressed up with stamps, pretty paper or washi and ribbon.

Nov15 Blog Hop 2

If you’re anything like me you will have saved lots of the brown packing paper that comes in the box with your Stampin’ Up! order.  With a bit of dressing up it makes perfect wrapping paper for large and small gifts.  I’ve stamped this piece using the small snowflake grouping stamp from the Wonderland set, wrapped a belly band of the Home for Christmas dsp around and tied it with some ribbon.

Nov15 Blog Hop 3

The third project in my ensemble is a gift card holder.  Whilst I do love to pick a special present for family and friends I often find myself time poor these days.  This usually results in me resorting to gift cards.  Bujt that doesn’t mean you can’t dress them up and add your own twist to make them special.  I have to thank the lovely Claire Daly over at Art with Heart for this inspiration for this little beauty.  You can get three out of a single piece of A4 cardstock and the opportunities for embellishment are endless.

I hope you like my projects and if you’d like to create some for yourself just click on the product list below which will take you direct to my online store.

Now it’s time for you to hop on over to the next blog and Laura’s gorgeous project.  Enjoy!

Inkreators Blog Hop – Hostess with the Mostess

INKreations Blog Hop-004

It’s October!  Can you believe it?  I’ve been so busy this last month I’ve no idea where the time has gone.  I wish I could say that it’s all been stamping but sadly not.  But I did find time to put together some projects for this month’s Inkreators Blog Hop.

If you’ve  arrived from Love Life Lauren then you would have already seen her beautiful work using the Stampin’ Reward set Best Thoughts – weren’t they just gorgeous.  If you’ve started the Hop here then welcome and I hope you see something that gets your creative mojo going.

I don’t have a lot of hostess sets -maybe it’s because they’re at the back of the catalogue which means I’ve already blown my budget by the time I get there lol!  So many beautiful Stampin’ Up! products it’s hard to stay on budget.    But when I saw this beautiful Stampin’ Rewards set  Happy Birthday Everyone I just knew I had to have it.  It’s such a versatile stamp set with lots of coordinating sentiments perfect for everyone.

I’ll be celebrating birthdays with some some wonderful women over the next few weeks so the “to an amazing woman” sentiment was perfect for this gift card holder.

Here’s a view of what the card inside looks like.  I’ve stapled a strip of the Watermelon Wonder designer series paper across the bottom to form a small pocket for my gift card.  The fancy little Cucumber Crush scroll underneath the pocket is from the Tin of Cards set.

These sentiments work perfectly on their own or paired with the large Happy Birthday image.  Here’s one paired with the “Thanks” from the Hello You Thinlits and the gorgeous butterfly from the Butterlies Thinlits.  I’ve been seeing a lot of cards lately with backgrounds using the watercolour wash technique.  If you’ve never done one before you should give it a go.  It’s very simple and you’re only limited by your imagination.  I just used the one colour here – Watermelon Wonder – but you can use as many or as few as you like.

You can find a complete list of supplies at the bottom of this post.

So there you have it.  I hope you enjoyed my creations and I look forward to seeing you back next month when will be getting into some “Gift Packaging” just in time for Christmas.  Next stop on the hop is Laura.  Enjoy xx

ESAD Autumn/Winter Mini Blog Hop

Today might be April Fool’s Day but be assured there is no “foolin” with Stampin’ Up!’s new Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. Let’s face it who doesn’t love a new catalogue, all those lovely new products to play with but I actually think this is my favourite so far………seriously if you don’t believe me follow today’s ESAD Autumn/Winter Mini Blog Hop and decide for yourself. I know the ESAD girls have all been working hard to bring you a gorgeous selection of projects showcasing lots of new goodies available from today.

You may have come here from the awesomely talented Tanya Bell or you may be a regular visitor, either way welcome and I hope you stay awhile and enjoy the projects I have for you today.

Before I move on let me tell you a little bit about ESAD.

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

Now on to my project. I really love tea cups so when I saw the Tea Shoppe stamp set and Twitterpated Designer Series Paper I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on them and here’s what I came up with.

Did you notice those gorgeous layered frames on the card? They are a new range to Stampin’ Up! and mark my words you will be seeing lots of these. They are called “framelits” and this particular one is the “Labels Collection”. They are so easy to use, just place them over your design or straight on to DSP or cardstock and run them through the Big Shot. Voila!

I have to credit Becky Roberts with the design for this card. Other than tweaking the patterned paper and some changes to the ribbon I have cased it almost to a tea (yes a pun I know). Why mess with perfection I say.

Next up is the cute tea caddy which dispenses tea bags from the base – Twinnings Russian Caravan in this case. Note the gorgeous pleated ribbon around the centre of the caddy, absolutely delish! It comes in four colours – Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Riding Hood Red. I made some paper roses with my fancy flower punch and some blushing bride cardstock for the top of the caddy.

My final project was this cute little tea bag and cookie holder shown to me by my friend Cynthia (Hi Cyn).  This type of holder was also demo’d by Debi Pippen at Leadership in the US in January.  You can see Debi’s cute little holders here.

It’s made from a single sheet of 12×12 Twitterpated DSP and is double sided with room for a teabag, a small 3×3 notecard and a cookie, or some other treat, in the centre. I used another new product called “Edgelits” to cut the gorgeous scalloped border on the bottom of the notecard.

Well that’s it from me today. I hope you love the “Tea Shoppe” stamp set as much as I do now hop along and see what wonderful creations Jane Norrish has in store for you. Remember to leave a little comment love for the designers as you travel so they know you’ve visited.
