ESAD 2013 Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

ESAD saleabration blog hop header

Welcome to the ESAD  Sale-a-bration Blog Hop for 2013.   Join us as we showcase the fabulous products on offer this year.  I always get really excited about this promotion, there is nothing better than free stamps – don’t you agree – in fact there are 19 exclusive items to choose from in this catalogue plus another 6 from the annual catalogue.  Definitely something for everyone.

If you’re hopping in order you will have arrived from Gail Kirby’s blog or if you’re a regular here welcome back and I hope youenjoy my projects today.

I always like to start the new year off with a notebook or two.  I need to write everything down these days as my memory is not what it used to be, can”t imagine why lol!  I’ve had some lined notepads in my stash for awhile and thought they would work perfectly for a trifold notebook.

I wanted a long design to cover the front of my notebook so I decided to go with the vine stamp and flower from the Madison Avenue stamp set.   I wasn’t really sure about whether I wanted a sentiment on the front or not but this one from Vintage Verses fitted the bill for me.  I love the variety of fonts and shapes in this set.  The Sycamore Street satin ribbon and buttons pack were easily incorporated into this project and work perfectly with the patterned paper.

Instead of fiddling around with some sort of closure I’ve used a belly band which just slips off the notebook to reveal the inside.  The paper is from the Sycamore Street range and I love the way this particular design works perfectly with the flower.

Project number 2 is a card.  I’m not quite sure where I was going with this design and the jury is still out on whether I like it or not.   I was really excited when I saw a punch included in this year’s range.  It’s a miniature version of the curly label punch from the annual catalogue and the two layer well together .  But more importantly it’s the punch you’ll need for the Pretty Petites stamp set used here to make my little “for you” flowerpot.  It’s a bit hard to see in this photo but the Vine Street textured embossing folder makes an appearance in the background here too.
