Easter Wishes
I really love the little bird in the “Good Friends” set from the new 2009-10 Idea Book and Catalogue. I couldn’t wait to use it to do some paper piecing with the retro look paper featured in the Good Morning Sunshine range and the new Kiwi Kiss in-colour.
I don’t really do many Easter cards so I was really happy that this cute little bird could work as an easter chick. Combined with a sentiment from the versatile All Occasions set I think I managed to pull it off.
I know I said I would be back with some samples from the new catty but between preparing for my Open Day and New Catalogue Launch on Saturday 25 April and a quick weekend away with the family for Easter I haven’t got a lot done yet. In the meantime here is a card I made a couple of weeks ago for my nephew’s 4th birthday.
The astronaut is from Lizzie Anne Design’s “Out of this World” and has been watercoloured using the new in-colours Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango. The spaceship paper is out of my stash and is Basic Grey I think with a base card of Pacific Point. As you can see this little guy is experiencing the low gravity on this planet and has lifted off (should have used my Stamp-a-ma-jig) but I really enjoyed the colouring on this one.

I have to say that I am absolutely blown away by the new catalogue. So many beautiful new stamps and accessories, I’m sure you’ll agree that Stampin’ Up! have truly outdone themselves this time. The Supplies list which used to be in the back of the catalogue is now available on-line for you to download and it has pictures of all the projects.
I have lots new rubbah arriving in the next few days so I’ll be busy playing and making samples for my launch on Saturday 25 April. If you want to come along and have a play with some of the new products or just browse some samples then email me michellegrech@netspace.net.au . There will be lots to see and you may even win yourself a door prize.
