No Snow for Aussies
I really love snow and would love to experience a “white christmas”, unlikely though given I live in Australia and Christmas happens in summertime. So when it comes to christmas cards I always feel a bit strange using snowflakes, snowmen and sleighs etc but I just can’t help myself.
Last night Xmas stamp-a-stack had to have a snowman card and as it turned out it was the favourite out of the four designs we made. The snowmen are from the “Tags for All” stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s Spring Mini Catalogue. This particular stamp has a frame around it and the words To and From so I used a black marker to ink up the stamp so that I could use just the snowmen and exclude the parts I didn’t want.
I don’t know if you can tell from the photo but we used some dazzling diamonds to create a line of snow underneath the image. It looks really pretty in real life. Here’s a close up.
Supplies:
Stamps – Tags for All; Paper – Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Whisper White; Accessories – markers, white grosgrain ribbon, circle punches, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-way glue pen, snail adhesive, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities

Once Upon a time
As much as I adore Stampin’ Up! stamps occassionally I see a design and just have to have it (you know how it is). This is a set I bought from the US some time ago and it had yet to see ink. It’s called Once Upon a Time and is from Lizzie Anne Designs.
Today we are off to celebrate our friend’s daughter’s 6th birthday. Lara (or Lolly as she is often known) is such a sweet little girl and she really does remind me of a princess.
It was the perfect opportunity to break out this set and give it a whirl. The photo doesn’t do it justice, it is lots more sparkly in real life with heaps of dazzling diamonds, just as a princess’ card should be.
Couldn’t help myself though the patterned paper is from Stampin’ Up’s Berry Bliss range and the card is Pretty in Pink. I coloured the princess and the castle using watercolour crayons and an aqua painter.
Here is a close-up of my handiwork.

All the W’s – Wanted, Weathered, Wonderful Favourites
That’s right I’ve been really bad. I admit it I bought a Father’s Day card from the shops, well not really a Father’s Day card but a card from my boys to their Pop (a Pop’s day card) and to make it worse I had made a Father’s Day card for my dad but forgot to give it to him.
I was really organised this year, had the pressie well in advance and decided that because I had a Stamp-a-Stack the week before Father’s Day I would make an appropriate card, use it at the class and then give it to my Dad. Not very personal I know but thought I could kill two birds with one stone and he wouldn’t know any of the dads who might be getting the same card (my goodness this sounds really bad when I write it down) So here is the card I made and then forgot to give!
Supplies:
Stamps: Wanted, Weathered, Wonderful Favourites
Paper: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Outlaw Designer Series Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Creamy Caramel
Accessories: Scallop punch, 1/4″ circle punch, Very Vanilla 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, stamp-a-majig, sponges, snail

Using Ribbon offcuts
I haven’t had much of a chance to stamp this week as Matt has been travelling for work so I have been on duty with the kids. Not much down time for me. So this is a card that the ladies made at last week’s Stamp-a-Stack.
Again it’s using the Blooming with Beauty stamp set, can’t go wrong with this one it’s so easy to get a good looking watercolour effect no matter what your skill level.
The ribbon is an offcut of the beautiful Pomegranate wide satin ribbon in the Spring Mini Catalogue. I have just pleated it in the centre and secured it with a brad. This is a great way to use all those little leftover bits that I hate to throw away, I’m such a hoarder.
Supplies:
Stamps: Blooming with Beauty
Paper: Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink. Naturals Ivory
Ink: Basic Black Classic ink, Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate, Always Artichoke
Accessories: corner rounder, !.8″ hand held punch, sponges, blender pen, Regal Rose marker, brad, ribbon
